Each group occurs at a specific time and day and lasts for several weeks. The groups are facilitated by a licensed mental health professional and are designed to provide emotional support to those dealing with major emotional or physical health issues or life crisis.

Online group support has been proven to be very effective. We utilize our chat-based or video-based platform to bring groups of people facing similar issues together. Within the first meeting, our experienced facilitators help to provide group members with all the known benefits of group support. In our experience, group members often feel comfortable sharing their struggles within two or three meetings. The 7Chairs’ group facilitators are licensed, trained, experienced, and accredited psychologists (PhD / PsyD), marriage and family therapists (LMFT), clinical social workers (LCSW / LMSW), and board licensed professional counselors (LPC) with experience in group facilitation. They are mental health professionals who strive to help people using innovative approaches and group collaboration.

Yes, the group facilitators are licensed, trained, experienced, and accredited psychologists (PhD / PsyD), marriage and family therapists (LMFT), clinical social workers (LCSW / LMSW), and board licensed professional counselors (LPC). Each facilitator needs to complete a series of interviews and training. We enforce a rigorous process to ensure that we have top notch group faciliators on our platform.

Our platform is simple, smooth, and easily accessible. Once you share your details on our intake form, a group facilitator will reach out to you shortly to schedule an introductory phone call. Once the intake phase is completed, you will be sent a private link to the platform for your specific group. You will get to choose a nickname and an avatar that will be displayed during the group meeting. Shortly thereafter, you will be welcomed by your group and facilitator at your first group meeting!

The text-based groups are managed and facilitated by a mental health professional. You will be granted access to your group through the 7Chairs platform where you will choose a nickname and avatar. On the given time and day of the group, all members will be able to write and comment on the live chat freely throughout the hourly session. The group will meet on the same day at the same time every week for several sessions.

Absolutely, once you are registered, you will set up a profile where you can choose the name you would like to use in the group meetings. You may remain anonymous or share your real name, whichever you feel more comfortable with. During the sign up process, you will have a confidential intake with your group facilitator, all information shared in this meeting will be kept completely confidential from the group.

7Chairs offers a variety of different groups that address topics such as Cancer, Anxiety, Grief, and so many more. Click here to see our up-to-date list of groups. Once a prospective member identifies a group and registers, a facilitator will reach out to help choose the best fit group.

7Chairs groups are composed of one licensed group facilitator and up to 6-7 group members. Groups meet on a set time and day for one hour each week. The meeting will take place on the 7Chairs platform which can be accessed from a smart phone, tablet or computer.

The cost of group support through 7Chairs is $10 US per week (billed monthly). You can cancel your membership at any time for any reason.

In the case that a group does not begin within a month of registration. A full refund will be made, at your request.

The first meeting is commitment-free, you may join in and see if this is the right fit for you. Beginning from session two, you must commit to the group schedule on the specific day and time each week. Typical groups meet every week for twelve weeks. The membership is billed monthly and can be canceled at any point.

Yes, the 7Chairs website is a free tool that provides educational material, up-to-date research, and periodical webinars. However, if you would like to join another group you must go through another intake process.
